Dr. Kerry L. Musick
Dr. Kerry L. MusickDoctor of Medicine

Dr. Musick was trained as a medical doctor and specialty trained as a psychiatrist at Texas Tech University Health Sciences School of Medicine. He was chief resident during his final year of residency. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Musick is experienced in the management of psychiatric conditions. He has worked with patients in acute care inpatient psychiatric settings, with other physicians as a consultant regarding patients having psychiatric problems, and with patients in outpatient clinics. He works primarily with adults, ages 18-64, but also treats school age children, adolescents and geriatric persons ages 65+.

Dr. Musick is comfortable working with individuals with severe problems such as suicidality and other major mental illnesses. Conditions that are treated include:
Mood disorders such as major depression, bipolar, disruptive mood dysregulation
anxiety disorders, such as panic attacks, post-traumatic stress, social anxiety
thought disorders, such as hallucinations, disorganization, paranoia, delusions, impaired cognition, neurodevelopmental disorders, such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, tic disorder, substance use disorders and other addictive disorders

Kim Winson
Kim Winson Nurse Practioner

Kim is excited to join the team at Musick Pyschiatry and Psychotherapy Associates! She trained at Duke University, as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. After working in primary care pediatrics for five years, she pursued her interests in developmental and behavioral pediatrics, as well as pediatric psychiatry. Kim is a board certified Pediatric Mental Health Specialist. Her professional interests include ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, and other concerns. Kim enjoys running, sewing, cooking, and snuggles with her cat, Ozzie.

Kelly Quinn
Kelly QuinnNurse Practioner

Kelly Quinn is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in health care by working in the electrocardiogram department of Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, when she was only 19 years old. Since that time, she has logged nearly twenty years of experience in various areas of nursing and patient care. In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Kelly also has an outstanding academic background that includes an Associate’s degree in nursing, Bachelor’s of Science in nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program of Winston Salem State University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Currently she is pursing a Psychiatry Post-Master’s Certification.

Kelly joined Musick Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Associates in June of 2020 to work as a substance use disorder specialist offering Medication Assisted Treatment to patients. In addition, she is completing her professional designation as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and will be fully able to help patients as they navigate through the difficulties of addiction, and other psychiatric problems.

As a family nurse practitioner, Kelly has practiced primarily in pain management along with volunteering at the Ada Jenkins Center in primary care. Kelly is married and spends her time outside of work playing badminton, watching movies and spending time with family and friends. She also loves to garden and entertain with cooking.

Suzie Jones
Suzie JonesLicensed Therapist

Suzie graduated with a BA majoring in Political Science and a minor in History at the University of Houston in 1996. After completing her Masters in Professional Counseling at Liberty University, and has also earned her LPC certification, she held an internship position at Transitional Counseling Center working with the sex offender population along with conducting groups at Riverside Hospital working with schizophrenia clients. Suzie worked in various roles associated with crisis interventions, team leader in intensive in-home therapy along with volunteering at a domestic violence shelter for women and children. Suzie has also volunteered her time doing charity work in her local communities while raising awareness of mental health.

Suzie utilizes Motivation Interviewing (MI) along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Virtual Reality Therapy (VRT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and accountability to form an eclectic style suited to each individual client. After years of clinical experiences, she has come to value the innate potential each client has to gain insight and make the commitment to change their life when they are both ready and willing. She uses compassion and accountability to provide a genuine platform for clients to reveal themselves without fear of judgments. In her therapeutic approach, she believes that each individual is unique. Her treatment approach is customized to bring greater self-awareness, psychological healing, and inner satisfaction.

Suzie has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults in treating psychosis, anxiety disorders, depression, self-esteem issues, eating disorders and other issues faced in the journey of life. She works with multiple issues ranging from mild to more intensive therapy skills, working with complicated grief, caregiver issues, mood management and provides wellness counseling.

Katie McIntosh
Katie McIntoshLicensed Therapist

Katherine “Katie” McIntosh, MSW, LCSW, earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina at Columbia and her Master of Social Work Degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Katie has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Katie understands that each client is unique, therefore she uses several modalities for treatment depending on client needs. These modalities include: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, as well as solution focused therapy.

Katie enjoys working with a variety of populations, including women in life transitions, individuals with weight related issues, disordered eating, those struggling with family dynamics and individuals dealing with anxiety and depression. Katie has experience in bariatrics, completing pre-surgical evaluations and providing pre and post surgical counseling.

When Katie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and two dogs, as well as experiencing new adventures.
